Chris had a crazy vision in 2018 to buy a 3700-hectare farm in the Karoo and in this beautiful dusty land, the Place of Dreams project was born. He dreamt to create a collaborative space where people can play and make magic happen. For those of you who have been following our journey and for those who are newly introduced to the “people”, you need to know that POD’s growth and future sustainability is the driving force for Chris and his small team, who have dedicated their blood, sweat and tears to the farm and its infrastructure – building roads, solar and water systems, dams, accommodation, a yoga pavilion, an artist forum and an epic canyon amphitheatre.
The POD October history started with an intimate group of 20 POD “peeps” in 2018, this was the first time we bought sound into canyon. Enter POD October 2020 and 350 beautiful POD people brought a truly collaborative effort of passion, energy, creativity, time, resources and, most of all, good vibes to our Place of Dreams!
The October Party in 2021 was again filled with lots of love, joy and a true sense of freedom from all who participated. The POD project is there for all of us to experience and enjoy and we can’t wait to welcome you back again
Although you need to be invited to a POD October Party, this is not an impossible invite only event. We just have policies and procedures which everyone wanting to join must follow. Start by either contacting us so what we can really get to know you. We love all our POD peeps and really like to know each and every one of you!
POD will never demand or prescribe anything from our supporters, except to partake with respect, grace and joy. In the end, however, the future of POD, its survival and growth, depends on the generosity of those who believe in the dream.
