We’re here with a belated but utterly fun and frivolous write-up about the proud boutique niche Afrikaans festival that took place from March 3rd to 5th, 2023 at the extraordinary Place of Dreams. Your presence made the event truly special, and we’re overjoyed to see our little team growing from strength to strength. From the legendary barman Ronnie serving up the finest cocktails and refreshments to the wheels of the party bus rolling to the electrifying performance of APPEL, it was a weekend to remember!
Located in the heart of the Tankwa Karoo, Place of Dreams is the perfect setting for an open-air boutique, music, and lifestyle experience. The POD mountain gorge, which has stood for over a million years, played host to our festival. Its unique open-air amphitheatre boasted a magnificent natural stone pond, a captivating waterfall, a stone bar, and a stone dance floor. Talk about immersing yourself in the wonders of Tankwa Drome (Dreams)!

APPEL: This iconic songwriter needs no introduction. Responsible for some of the biggest hits in Afrikaans music history, APPEL took our breath away with his performance. We couldn’t wait to share this unforgettable experience with you, and he certainly delivered!
REFENTSÉ: Last year, REFENTSÉ raised the roof and left the crowd craving more. This time, he returned with his full band, ready to take his show to new heights. The energy was electrifying, and we danced the night away to the infectious beats.
ELANDRÉ: With sold-out tours, spectacular performances, and powerful music videos, ELANDRÉ has quickly become one of Afrikaans’ favourites. His presence on stage was nothing short of mesmerizing, captivating the audience with his talent and charisma.
DASSIE: Hailing from Swellendam, this 22-year-old artist has a voice that knows no boundaries. DASSIE’s performance left us in awe, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this rising star. The excitement for their performance matched the anticipation for their bright future.
